http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=2128878011 - Interesting. "The winner will receive a publishing contract from Andrews McMeel Publishing, a $5,000 advance from Universal Uclick, and a monthly stipend for the development of 20 comic strips that will be considered for syndication." Artists? Anyone out there interested?

Liev Schreiber says he would like to play Sabretooth some more. No real surprise there.

The cast of the Expendables adds Bruce Willis to it. For those of you keeping track, this brings us up to no less than Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis (those last two for reportedly for one scene only), Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, and Jason Statham all in the same movie.

James Marsters has joined the cast of Caprica, playing a dangerous terrorist leader.

Marvel will be releasing their comics on the Sony PSP. That's cool and nice and all but it is also a very small screen to read comics on.

Ryan McPartlin, who plays Awesome on Chuck, says that occasionally Awesome will be called on in a pinch, and his clothes will occasionally come off for reasons absolutely essential to the show's plot. Of course. That's perfectly reasonable....

The word is Robert Redford will direct the historical drama The Conspirator - about Lincoln's assassination.

ABC is making The Time Traveler's Wife into a series. While this could be excellent, I'd really just rather have Journeyman back.

The conspiracy around Lincoln's assassination is just incredible. Booth was only one of three killers that night - another was sent to kill then-VP Johnson. He chickened out. A third was sent to kill Secretary of State Seward. Seward got stabbed multiple times in the face and neck - but survived the attempt.

Am I the only person on earth who loathed THE TIME TRAVELLER'S WIFE?

Which version? I haven't seen the movie. It seems they happied it up at the end. I didn't hate the book but I didn't love it, either.

Holy shit. Maybe it's time to break out the Wacom tablet.

But developing 20 intellectual properties? That's kind of unrealistic.

Are they talking 20 strips total or 20 different ideas entirely?

I got the impression that it was to develop 20 properties, from which they would choose what to syndicate. I could be wrong.

*makes a face*

That would be pretty brutal.

Nah. In the newspaper comic syndication world this would be considered a little extreme but not remarkably unusual. It's a brutal business.

That said, I think I read it wrong and it is just producing 20 strips to be considered for pickup.
