Someone is sending mailbombs.

http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/05/03/mailbox.pipebombs/index.html

The note attatched to this one says (or these there were 5):

Mailboxes are exploding! Why, you ask?

Attention people.

You do things because you can and want (desire) to

If the government controls what you want to do, they control what you can do.

If you are under the impression that death exists, and you fear it, you do anything to avoid it. (This is the same way pain operates. Naturally we strive to avoid negative emotion/pain.)

You allow yourself to fear death!

World authorities allowed, and still allow you to fear death!

In avoiding death you are forced to conform, if you fail to conform, you suffer mentally and physically. (Are world powers utilizing the natural survival instinct in a way that allows them to capitalize on the people?)

To "live" (avoid death) in this society you are forced to conform/slave away.

I'm here to help you realize/ understand that you will live no matter what! It is up to you people to open your hearts and minds. There is no such thing as death. The people I've dismissed from this reality are not at all dead.

Conforming to the boundaries, and restrictions imposed by the government only reduces the substance in your lives. When 1% of the nation controls 99% of the nations total wealth, is it a wonder why there are control problems?

The United States strives to provide freedom for their people. Do we really have personal freedom? I've lived here for many years, and I see much limitation. Does the definition of freedom include limitation? I've learned about the history of various civilizations in history, and I see more and more limitation. Do you people enjoy this trend of limitation? If not, change it!

As long as you are uninformed about death you will continue to say "how high", when the government tells you to "jump". As long as the government is uninformed about death they will continue tell you to "jump" Is the government uninformed about death, or are they pretending?

You have been missing how things are, for very long. I'm obtaining your attention in the only way I can. More info is on its way. More "attention getters' are on the way. If I could, I would change only one person, unfortunately the resources are not accessible. It seems killing a single famous person would get the same media attention as killing numerous un-famous humans. There is less risk of being detained, associated with dismissing certain people.

Sincerely,

Someone Who Cares

PS. More info. will be delivered to various locations around the country.

S/He scares me. A lot. Principles before people.

Unfortunately this person is basing their actions on their unfounded belief that when you "die" in this reality you don't really "die" (much as many religions believe you live forever in either Heaven or Hell). Further unfortunate it is that is unprovable either way, so basing any action on it in this manner is flawed so we must avoid it altogether, therefore, no more funerals, we must strike the concept of death from our collective minds and re-integrate into the collective.

This person obviously has never taken a Political Science class, nor do they realize how fucking good they have it living in a country like this. They've made immediate assumptions about me and my beliefs towards life and death, and they're committing terrorist acts to "comminicate."

What a fucking idiot.

Hrm. I find these other comments a bit shallow.

1. The thought is different. Yes, vastly different. It is only "fucked up" because innocents die. From an ethical standpoint, no, it is not right. But I could go on and on and on about the practices that we commonly accept which are both unethical and "fucked up."

2. Principles always come before people. Nuclear terrorism (aka Hiroshima) is based on the idea that you can kill so many innocents if it saves the lives of soldiers. That, frankly, is a principle that is inherently unethical. The bombing of Afghanistan is no different. Nor was the WTC crash. Principles will always mean more than human lives to those who take human lives. The Army is no more frightening than this note.

3. This person is not basing their actions on a belief that dying is not really dying. They expound that death is an individual experience. People too often believe Death is Bad for the Dead. But, in almost any religion, Death is fine for the Dead (unless they're Evil, but no funeral services include, "He's going to Hell.") - Death is always much worse for the living.

4. Terrorist acts communicate quite well. A large terrorist act (the largest terror act ever) ended WW II.

And obviously, no, they do not "realize how fucking good they have it." The rich white men who signed the Declaration of Independence? They didn't realize how fucking good they had it. It doesn't matter what people have - they want more. That is the essence of desire.

It just seems to me like someone trying to avoid 1984, Brazil and A Brave New World. It's not all that suprising that they're using extreme methods - that's what revolutionaries do.

You do realize how this "fucking great" country came into being, right? Avoiding taxes, guerilla warfare, and attacking the British and Hessians on a holiday - and our history shows that we're proud of that.

Ehn. I always have this perspective issue with people.
