See, for me knowing what happens doesn't spoil things. It gives me things to look forward to. I've been reading review for Episode II all day. A lot of them from people who trashed Phantom Menace. I have chills. I've only read one bad review and it wasn't that bad. It wasn't very inspired, really. It's being compared by an awful lot of people to Empire Strikes Back.

There are things that I cannot wait to see. I won't mention them here, but I want to see them. There is a look on a character's face at a certain point.... I want to see it. Desperately.

I will have to wait but I can tell you I'm counting days.

I will blunt this need with Spiderman this evening.

Don't forget that all the preview/reviews of Eppy 1 were incredible too. It wasn't until about 3 months afterwards that everyone started trashing it.

Eh... I dunno. I trashed on it on the way out of the theatre. Mostly because of the obvious racial stereotypes presented by the Gungans, Watto and the Trade Feds. That really rankled me, and I found quite a few reviewers that agreed with me. It was pretty obvious to most movigoers that EPI was tailored to kids more than adults. Even Darth McMaul looked like a giant cartoon character of evil. EPII looks to have some more adult themes, and it looks to be a little darker, so the hope is, that Lucas will be satisfied that he's hooked another generation of kids with EPI and can move on to the actual storytelling that he has shown in the past that he's capable of. So far, the reviewers of EP II seem to think that he's managed it, and although he still falls prey to some kiddie camp in several spots, their screentime, as well as Jar Jar motherfucking Binks seems to have been greatly reduced. If that is the case, I think it'll be a great flick.

Don't forget, the main character OF the series (Anakin) was a child during Episode I. Thus, a childlike atmosphere. This film, he's an angsty teen.
