The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Geoff Johns will produce and co-write a “Flash” feature film. They're also saying that Grant Morrison and Marv Wolfman have been hired by Warners as consultants on their superhero properties. It would be a good thing, on both accounts, but I'll wait on too much comment.

Edit to add some quotes: Johns worked up a new treatment for a "Flash" script, being written by Dan Mazeau; Johns will act in a producer capacity on the project, which has not attached a director.

The projects Morrison and Wolfman are working on are in the early stages at Warners, whose execs declined to comment.

The studio is taking pitches on sci-fi hero Adam Strange and the underwater-breathing hero "Aquaman," to be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and his Appian Way shingle.

Also mentioned are: "Bizarro Superman", a sequel to "Constantine," two concurrent Green Arrow projects and "Shazam."

And it is official - Sean Bean will play Eddard Stark in The Game of Thrones series. He's being listed as the 'lead', so that makes me wonder how long a book will be in episodes. Mark Addy is also in final negotiations to also join the production as King Robert. Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Jack Gleeson (Joffery) and Harry Lloyd (Viserys) also been signed.

ZOMG. Sean Bean? *ded*

Aaah, it's like putting Tara in the credits. The vast majority of people who'll be watching this show will have no idea Ned dies forty pages in, so you can't say "guest starring Sean Bean" because that gives the impression he won't be around for long.

Dude. I just went and looked. He doesn't die for like six *hundred* pages (I seriously thought it was much earlier than that). So he'd be around most of the season! Wow. AGH. That's worse than killing him at the end of the pilot, which is kind of what I expected them to do.

Yeah. It just feels like it is at the beginning because that's the event that starts everything else. The visit to the Starks and then the trip down takes up a lot of pages.

its important tho that you love eddard stark and that it sucks the breath out of you when he dies. otherwise, you really won't feel it. he's a great choice for people to love and lose to really feel the gravitas of the series.

:(

Geoff Johns in the movies means less Geoff Johns writing comics. :(

I don't think that it is extremely impactful in this case. Looking at the article, he's mostly consulting. He wrote a Flash script treatment and that got handed off to another writer. It will likely be so when they get to making it, as he'll be a producer but that, again, matters on how active in it he actually manages to be.
