Travel desires

So, I'm feeling the desire to travel again. I know it has to wait until next year at least but the itchy feeling it starting to claw at the bottom of my feet. I need to go explore something, go be among other people.

Currently, my desire is to go to Italy (Rome and Venice) some time next year. My preference would be late spring, early fall, just for weather thoughts.

Other places I desire to go:
Kyoto (with some time in Tokyo and a stop in Kamakura)
Paris
Seoul with Holly
UK - with regard to spend time outside of London this time (though I'd settle for a few days of museum time).
Northern India
Egypt

I'm sure there are others but these are the ones that come easily to mind at the moment.

We (I) want to try and move to a new house in about 3 years. That means a lot of work on the house during that time and saving our $$$

Yeah, it's a realtively new plan, but I want to get in a new house before David really hits teenage years - that way I don't have to hear him and his girlfriends. ;-)

You're damn right I want to drag you to Seoul, along with anyone else who can come. It's going to be a few years before I can afford another major trip, though.

Though dude, if it turns out you're going to northern India and I have enough advance notice, I'll just start selling organs on Ebay

Ultimately, I'd want to take two weeks - some time in Tokyo and some time in Seoul. Even if only a few days to visit Daibutsu.

Agreed. We did not spend nearly enough time with Daibutsu. Would that Kyoto could somehow also be incorporated into this trip, but that's a whole'nother week in and of itself.
