So, I'm re-reading mizkit's Walking Dead because I found it on the ARC shelves here at work. It reads more smoothly than when I read it before, which I'm certain is an editing thing. That's how that is supposed to work, right? Anyway, I'm going to hold onto this forever and somehow run into Catie again so she can sign this one since she put me in the Acknowledgements. That's one of those little things I always thought would be cool and now I'm still a-flutter since someone actually did. Not a life long dream but still something I'd never actually thought would happen. Hee!

I walked a lot this weekend. Walked to SafeCo on Friday (Go Mariners!). Walked around the U District Street Fair on Saturday (I got a new hair thingy!). Walked around the Cheese Festival on Sunday (yummy, yummy cheese). So, I'm a little sunburnt and more worn out than I thought I would be this Monday.

I'm looking forward to this weekend very much. Need to make sure I have sunscreen. The highs at the Gorge are going to be in the low 80s but the lows are going to be in the upper 40s. So, me Sounders hoodie is coming with me to the Gorghe for certain. I'm hoping I'm up for slamming into people because I'll be damned if I'm not getting into the thick of it for what might be my last NIN show for a very long time.

House things may or may not be proceeding apace. It is hard to tell. My bid is 'competitive', for what what is worth. I took Kris and Holly around to see it and measured some things to make sure that everything would fit okay. If I get the house, I'll need to do a lot of painting and the outside needs some work. And I might want to knock down a wall inside, depending on a few things.

Unless you have a profound attachment to the ARC itself, I would be very happy to trade you a copy of the ARC for a proper signed copy of the book when I get my copies.

Well, it would mean that I'd be seeing you, y'know? Which would, of course, be a good thing. That it was something of a major coincidence or very minor miracle that I had a meeting down there at that time to see the thing to grab it before anyone else did.
