Someone is looking to remake Cliffhanger. I didn't look into who because... Cliffhanger? And it seems DreamWorks Pictures trying to pick up a remake of Fright Night. C'mon people. Seriously?

Variety reports Terry Gilliam is going to make another run at The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. The script has been rewritten some and is starting to be shopped around to actors.

The new version, long stalled, of Wuthering Heights has a director and might be getting off of the ground.

Forest Whitaker and "50 Cent" are attached to another Jekyll and Hyde project, unlreated to the Keanu project. Is this going to be like Sherlock Holmes? People need to be more aware when these things happen.

I thought the only detective in the MU was Dakota North. Srsly I'm wracking my brain and the only thing French I'm coming up with is Batroc the Leaper.

Hahah, yeah, Batroc was the first character I thought of just because "French" and "Marvel Universe" were in the same sentence. Which is really sad. ^^;; God, now that I've got poorly done foreign/ethnic characters in my head, I'm thinking of El Dorado from Superfriends. Dammit.

Closest I can come up with is Peregrine. Adventurer, mercenary, worked for Silver Sable -- considering the liberties movies generally take with characters, it wouldn't be farfetched at all to add a detective angle.

Being that it's Iron Man and the Avengers franchise is building, it could be interesting to use the Swordsman though and give him a detective background before/after he trained Hawkeye.

Another possibility is to just take any random background non-powered cop who was mentioned by name in a single story set in France. Grab (for instance) UXM #200 and see if any cops were mentioned by name or so on. That's an easy route but somewhat dissatisfying.
