Something that I know will make some people really rather happy - Reggie Hudlin is leaving Black Panther after 4 years of writing it.

Some TV updates for you all:
- Fox has ordered “Human Target” to go to series. The pilot starred Mark Valley and Jackie Earle Haley.
- Joss Whedon late last week pitched to Fox execs his ideas for a second season of “Dollhouse”. Or so says the Hollywood reporter.
- ABC announces its fall schedule Tuesday. Expect V to be on it - the pilot seems to have been entertaining.

The Hollywood Reporter also says that they've hired a new writer for He-Man. The premise that they're going with might work but I'll wait and see.

Kevin Smith has announced that he is writing a new Batman mini series for DC and some Green Hornet project for Dynamite Entertainment.

Variety says that Universal Pictures and Dark Horse are teaming up to adapt “The Secret".

There are a lot of rumors flying around about what the next Star Trek movie might well be, though nothing has been officially green-lit yet.

In August you'll be getting DOOM PATROL #1, from Keith Giffen and Matthew Clark and it will /also/ feature a METAL MEN co-feature by Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and artist Kevin Maguire.

The trailer for the second Evangelion re-do movie is out there. It is oh so pretty. I need to get my hands on the first one..

It seems that Youngblood has hired script writers. Brett Ratner directing a Rob Liefeld comic book property...

The Witchblade movie is still in the works. Really. They just need little things to move forward. Like.. a script.

LJ ate the back half of this entry so I leave you with Tiny Titans funny instead: http://dcublog.dccomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/tinytitansbattlecow.jpg

I vote for a feature length remake of "Space Seed". With Nestor Carbonell as Khan Singh.

Or a feature-length remake of City On The Edge of Forever. With some fetching young Englishwoman as Edith Keeler.

I am seriously considering taking a chance with Doom Patrol/Metal Men. Giffen is pretty hit and miss with me but I'm a fan of the smaller names and two C-list superhero teams in one book? Very interesting.

I like both Doom Patrol and Metal men, though recent efforts with them have both haven't been what I was looking for.
