Good day so far.
May. 9th, 2009 04:36 pmSo far today, I went looking at houses, went to a book signing and then went to the Comic Stop and H mart.
Houses - The first house is lovely and would be brilliant if I were living on my own. There is no way there is enough room in there for me, all of my stuff and anyone else's stuff. It would be a great house for a couple with a young kid or someone on their own.
The second house... Oh man. The second house is obviously a huge mess. There is also a crazy part of the floor that pulls up to reveal a super steep basement stairscase. The room below is crazy and dark. In the master bedroom, there were two circular holes cut in the bottom of the closet. It really seemed like the perfect setup for someone who wanted to keep prisoners in the basement. There was also water damage, a borken wall or two... rewiring needed....
The third house, however, I'm investigating as a possibility. This is the house and inside it is lovely. I would need to work on it some but the kitchen has been entirely redone, the master bedroom is HUGE, there is a jet tub in the master bath and a window seat in the living room. I like the house and it is in the Central District on 28th between Jackson and King.
After I looked into possibly putting in a bid on that house, Kris and I went down to The Seattle Mystery Bookshop (http://www.seattlemystery.com/) and got my copy of Walking Dead signed by Greg Rucka. I also got to meet Jason
grocible in person for, I beleive, the first time. We sat and talked and just generally hung out and had a latte which was excellent. I hoep his drive home hasn't been too crazy.
Then Kris and I zoomed up to the Comic Stop in Lynwood and traded in our old comics for new graphic novels. I got the fifth Gotham Central and the third Question graphic novels. Hooray! Hooray for Dead Robin. (That sounds a bit ironic.)
It is a lovely day and I am happy to have spent it well.
