Wolverine's audience split almost evenly along gender lines: 53 percent of moviegoers were men and 47 percent were women. It won the weekend easily at $87 million, even with having been leaked on the intertubes. (The #2 movie did $15.3 million.) We shall see what staying power it has. I saw it. I was expecting it to be about a billion times worse, so I was pleasantly surprised at how little I wanted to smack the people involved. (Most of the times I did want to involved either CG or fight choreography.) And while there were a million cameoes in it, it didn't really feel that crammed. There should have been much, much more Wade snark though. I could watch those first 20 minutes a few hundred times.

On that note, I'm not too surprised that Hugh Jackman, is set to produce and appear in another comic book adaptation, Doug TenNapel's “Ghostopolis.” I'll have to look that one up since I don't know it at all.

http://dcublog.dccomics.com/2009/05/04/i-am-batgirl/ - New Batgirl teaser. I have more thoughts on this than I thought I would but if it is who I think it is, I think it is a good move. It also makes me wonder about the fate of a few other characters, though.

McG says that any sequels to the new Terminator movie would likely take place before (in the timeline) the one we're about to see. Going back in time to change things has worked out so very well in the past for this franchise...

NBC has announced most of what they're keeping or not keeping but they're holding off on a decision on Chuck until the 19th. The buzz over the weekend was that it was being kept, no problem. C'MON! KEEP IT! I want more! Here is an article on what is stayign and going so far from NBC: http://www.fancast.com/blogs/tv-news/chuck-medium-not-among-shows-renewed-by-nbc/

Taylor Kitsch, not so subtlely says that he'd love to work with Anna Paquin in the future. “There are two things with that — she’s such a great actress and I’d love to work with her, and that would be cool to see Gambit and Rogue,” Kitsch mentioned in an interview with MTV News.

According to Production Weekly The Rock is set to star in McG's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Which would be putting him in another Disney movie. *ponders*

I got like the last copy of the Blackest Night Free Comic Book. There are some interesting things in there. Yes, yes. Very interesting. I like some of the choices being made for who to bring back. I can hear the screaming now in some corners of fandom.

Kenneth Braughnaughaw says that filming for Thor is likely to begin in January. He also sort of hinted around the name of Tom Hiddleston for Thor. That is name I will have to look up.

That icon remains one of the most awesome EVER.

I am in total and utter agreement with all of this, and I don't even give a rat's ass about Wade. :)

I'm very fond of the two characters in it, even if you cannot tell who they are from the icon. It just generally makes me happy.

I want more snark. But, then again, I think about buying Blade Trinity just for Ryan Reynolds.

Blade Trinity has one of our highest viewing time:dollars spent ratios of any DVD we've purchased.

If you like Ryan Reynolds, I'd heartily recommend picking up The Nines if you haven't seen it already.

I liked Wolverine X-Men Mutantpalooza a lot, but then again I didn't have to pay to see it (sneak preview pass) and all I really wanted it to do was make up for X-Men III. It really helps that they got an actor to play Sabretooth instead of a big wrestler. You need more than big muscles to play a superhero.

That being said, Tom Hiddleston? The guy's a rail. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/3559452/Tom-Hiddleston-Not-just-a-Romeo.html
