It feels a little unreal...

... that I'm flying to Michigan tomorrow. Not sure why but it feels odd that I'll be flying out tomorrow.

It is cold here and colder there.

I don't know why I'm having so much trouble taking time off. It isn't like the world will fall apart without me.

Gah.

Looking forward to coming back and having Emerald City to do and then some time off at NorWesCon as well.... Just... feeling detached and I hate that.

Not looking forward to negative temperatures tomorrow.

I don't know why I'm having so much trouble taking time off. It isn't like the world will fall apart without me.

I have the same problem. I take time off because I have to, not because I want to. I think it's because I feel like whatever I want to do isn't worth taking off work for. Tangentially, does that mean *I* feel like I'm not worth it? Probably.

Sometimes I have a hard time taking time off because getting back into the swing of things will be harder than if I'd just stayed and slugged it out.
