Lots and lots of update
Jan. 14th, 2009 11:26 pmWil Wheaton will be playing Ted Kord in the January 23rd episode of “The Brave and the Bold.” Awesome sauce. More awesome added on top Michael Rosenbaum is voicing Deadman.
TVGuide has dropped CW from their listings. They're seemingly expecting the network to go under. The current direction of Smallville seems to be an indication of things to come.
Emliy Blunt might be playing Black Widow in Iron Man 2. I'll wait until you look at her and come back to tell me what you think.
Yesterday, it was said that WB and Fox were talking about what it would take to reach a settlement. Today, The Hollywood Reporter has word that the court hearing scheduled for next Tuesday, January 20th has been canceled. Could this mean that a resolution has been reached? Could we see Watchmen March 6th with no delays?
Thebadandugly.com has word on Johnny Depp's latest role and it looks to be one he's played before. The man just doesn't stop, does he? Always making movies. Anyway, it looks like they're making The Rum Diary, which would make him Hunter S. Thompson again.
The score for Batman: The Animated Series is going to be released.
Apparently there are negotiation difficulties with Samuel L. Jackson and negotiating his role as Nick Fury for Iron Man 2. There are all sorts of salary issues going on - or so Sam says. He might just be playing a hard negotiation game.
Now that Lost and BSG are about to start back up again there are begining to be hints and spoilers spilling out all over the place. Not reading them has been challenging.
Jackie Chan is in final negotiations to join the remake of The Karate Kid. Remember, this will be staring Jaden Smith. And, yeah, Jackie will totally be playing EXACTLY who you think he will be.
A Steve McQueen biopic is coming to the big screen. Because, well, he's awesome. It will be based around Marshall Terrill's biography "Steve McQueen: Portrait of an American Rebel." The project will primarily chronicle McQueen's Hollywood career.
Brendan Fraser will be playing John Crowley, whose children were born with a genetic disorder so rare that he needs to track down an expert researcher (Harrison Ford) for help.
Revolutionary Road's Sam Mendes is still somewhat attached to Preacher, but he recently mentioned that he's still waiting for a script before he signs on. Dennis Leary as Cassidy. C'mon. You know you want it.
Fox announced Tuesday morning that "Prison Break" will end its run after four seasons.
John Barrowman, otherwise known as (hot) Captain Jack Harkness, will be writing a Torchwood comic strip with his longtime collaborator and sister Carole E. Barrowman. Woo-hoo!
The series will appear in issue #14 of the bimonthly Torchwood magazine, which I may never see.
When MTV News caught up with Aaron Eckhart on the Golden Globes red carpet, he was notably less fatalistic about the possibility of reprising his role as Harvey Dent/Two-Face. Maybe not dead? Maybe in a coma and secreted away to... ummm... Hrmm.
MTV reports that Danny Elfman has signed on to compose the score for Terminator Salvation.
And... that's it for now.
