Starting December 12th, SciFi will begin "airing" a 10-part series of Battlestar Galactica webisodes before the show's return. The full schedule:
Dec. 12: Chapter 1;
Dec. 15: Chapter 2;
Dec. 17: Chapter 3;
Dec. 22: Chapter 4;
Dec. 24: Chapter 5;
Dec. 29: Chapter 6;
Dec. 31: Chapter 7;
Jan. 5: Chapter 8;
Jan. 7: Chapter 9;
Jan. 12: Chapter 10
And if you need to need to catch up on the show so far: http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/video/index.php?clip=3&sub=specials Heh. Funny again and, yes, spoilers.

This is a GREAT write up and solidifies something I've been trying to say for awhile: http://whatever.scalzi.com/2008/12/10/emo-older-than-you-think/

The new US Terminator Salvation trailer is findable here. I'm not entirely sure what to think. I love Bale but he needs to knock it off with the growly voice. Those motorcycle things are awesome, though.

It looks like T.R. Knight is trying to get off of Grey's Anatomy simply because he hasn't been given any screen time. Which seems fair to me.

The word is that Pushing Daisies will no longer end on a cliffhanger. Bryan Fuller and his team have gone back and tacked on a completely new beginning and ending to the episode. Rumor has it ABC may show the final three episodes on one night in early January.

NBC has announced this morning that they will be adapting the classic Belgian political thriller, “XIII” for a two-part television mini-series, scheduled to air February 8 and 15. There will be a lot of actors who have verious levels of geek cred in this - Val Kilmer, Stephen Dorff. Stephen McHattie and Jessalyn Gilsig.

If you're not watching Leverage, you should give it a chance. It is pretty tasty so far after one episode.

Betty Thomas has signed on to direct Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel. Ugh.

Geoff Johns will be leaving JSA. Which, while sad, means that he recognizes that you can't write half a universe without quality going down. Yes, I'm looking at you Bendis. Anyway, Johns is returning to The Flash (Yeah!) and there is Blackest Night coming (Yeah!) as well as other projects being hinted at. He'll be around. From the few times I've met him (briefly) he seems to be a very nice guy.

20th Century Fox has beamed The Day the Earth Stood Still into deep space, a first for a motion picture. You know. So aliens can watch is and... decide for themselves, I guess.

The Watchmen footage that director Zack Snyder showed at this summer's Comic-Con in San Diego is now officially online and can be watched for free at iTunes. If, you know, you have iTunes, which I do not on this computer. And there is a new web variant trailer here. Not too much here that hasn't been seen before.

They're making We3 into a movie. Now don't get me wrong. I love We3 but it is pretty brutal. And I have a hard time imagining this live action at all without being really dumb.

Seth Rogen told SCI FI Wire there's a good chance that Sony will preview The Green Hornet at the 2009 Comic-Con. Because, well, duh. Speaking of which, I should really pre-reg. It is almost hotel time already Yeesh.

Is it too early to be mad about the Green Hornet? Everything I've read so far, just depresses me.

I would say it is a bit early. I'm still in the generally hopeful place.

Beamed the real one or the Keanu version that's coming out? If it's the latter, I'm afraid that the aliens might decide the galaxy is better off without us and invade already.

You know, I'm really liking the "sequel instead of remake" idea. Klaatu gave us a warning fifty-some years ago, and we ignored it...

I'll be over here with my denial.

Yeah. It doesn't play well with that, apparently.

Heh heh heh. I've been wondering what you thought of Leverage.

So far it seems like fun. I was all, "Hey... they need a social hacker...." And then they picked up the actress.

Yep. Like I was saying earlier this week, this show is aware of the caper conventions, especially the caper stories with a Robin Hood flair, and knows that its audience knows them, too. I enjoyed "The Nigerian Job," and when I sat down to watch "The Home Coming Job," I thought at first, "Oh, I hope this isn't going to feel too formulaic already." Nothing worse than a show with a short sell-by date. But I stayed interested, and I cackled at various points, and do not feel that the time was ill-spent.

I'm sure Kris and I will watch "The Home Coming Job" soon. I like the characters and sometimes that is enough even if things start to be formulaic.

One of the things I've enjoyed so far (in the all of 2 episodes I've watched) is that you have sketchy info on all the characters that helps you get a general understanding of what makes them tick, but that you've also got hints that there's more to them than their trading card stats (if that analogy isn't too tortured). Which is fine with me. I'm cool with taking a few weeks to learn more about these people.

At this point I mostly want to see Bale do, like, a romantic comedy. To see if he can. We know he can do intense psychos. I'm ready for him to branch out. :)

*laughs* That would be a hell of a thing.
