... except at the same time, not so much. It was kind of refreshing not to be on-line last night. Of course, there was gymming. I'm horrible at New Years resolution sorts of things but I know what mine are going to be already. Because hopefully, I'll get enough of my brain back to be able to make sure that they become habits.

But that's not why you're here!

Here are some links of possible funny:

In scary news: SCI FI Wire talked to Zack and Deborah Snyder, the husband-and-wife directing/producing team of Watchmen , who said that the film's final length hasn't been approved yet, but that it is getting shorter.

Smallville'ss producers are gung ho for a ninth season, but Tom Welling may be eager to move on. They could always, I don't know, DO A FREAKING JUSTICE LEAGUE SHOW WHERE PEOPLE ARE ACUTALLY HEROES INSTEAD OF WUSSY EMO LOSERS. Sorry. It bothers me that Ollie is a million times better hero than Clark on that show.

Turns out that George Miller is still on Justice League and someone pulled a fast one over on like... every internet site ever: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/39303

Twilight star Kristen Stewart is set to portray Joan Jett in The Runaways, the rock 'n' roll biopic of the 1970s all-girl band. Wooooo?

Variety says Warner Bros. Pictures has hired John Brownlow to write its remake of the classic swashbuckler Captain Blood. Hrm. I'm not for remakes, generally, but this wouldn't be too awful. Then again, how can you replace that movie?

Casting Call for Iron Man 2:
[FEMALE LEAD]
20s, beautiful, speaks several languages fluently and is equally proficient in martial arts…
Black Widow anyone?

Apparently tonight's Pushing Daisies is a Wonderfalls cross over, in case you were a fan of /that/ show. Sad that she'll be on another show that is likely going away. Sad.

I've actually been liking the latest season of Smallville pretty well. Lana not being around helps. I mean, I'd do several zillion things differently, but perhaps I'm just easy. :)

I'd rather see a Justice League tv show, though. :)

It would be better without Lana but I was watching for Ollie and Lex and well, Ollie alone is not enough.

It's true, he's not, especially since I'm not really in to blondes. :) (Which may be part of why I'm willing to continue watching Smallville: blue eyed black haired boys = yum.)

I just don't find Welling that attractive. *shrugs*

That first Heroes 'spinoff'? That's kind of what the show is now, and why I no longer watch it.

I have a ton of reasons I'm not a huge Heroes fan right now. Sylar is sort of absurd and the whole moment with Elle was ridiculously short but he really is just another symptom.

True. See, I heard about last week, and my immediate reaction was 'Wait, didn't he kill her father?' Apparently, I am a horrid person for having an actual sense of right and wrong.

Whoa, wait...

I'm not kidding. It is totally on the chopping block and rumored to be dead. No second half episodes have been ordered.

That's... awful. And lame. I'm trying to think of a more original show airing these days and there aren't many. I guess that's the problem. I'm all grumbly now.

Roslin being missing does not surprise me in the faintest, for some reason.

She was supposed to die before. ;)

I'm sure her death this time around will be Significant in Some Fashion.

That "Sylar" picture is just... wrong XD One of those things that looks absurd in a humorous way, but totally shouldn't be funny ^^;;

Ms. Stewart, who has yet to execute a facial expression on camera, is going to be a rock goddess. Riiiiiiiiiight. That'll go well.

Clark has really come into his own this season, at least after the first couple episodes. He's really acting a lot more like Superman. He has a way to go yet, but he's now more like how I imagined a young Superman.

Ollie, on the other hand, seems to be drifting away from being a hero, becoming obsessed with punishing everything Luthor for the murder of his parents, which he just found out was ordered by Lionel. Of course, Lionel's dead, so he's obsessed with finding and killing Lex, using the idea of protecting Clark as a rationalization.

I am still convinced that on the final episode of Smallville, Clark will finally put on his costume and there will be a big red "U" across his chest. He's obviously going to grow up to lead the Crime Syndicate of Amrica, that's the only thing that makes sense of his character because I cvan't see that guy growing up to be Superman.

I'm currently reading The Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar, so the idea of a movie about the Runaways was amusing because the lonely werewolf girl of the title is obsessed with the Runaways and believes that they are the Bestest Group Evar.

Thanks for teh Prop 8 Musical, now I have to fuind a computer with a sound card so I can watch it :)

You're probably correct (especially if they want to seed the Avengers movie). However a lesser known but some one with much stronger ties to the Iron Man mythos is Whitney Frost aka Madam Masque...

Another good choice I just thought of is Bethany Cabe who was a love interest/bodyguard for a number of years and thought of as the "best" of Tony's love interests.

Geeky wishful thinking on my part as you are most likely correct and it's Natasha.
