In September, it was announced that Warner Bros. Pictures was planning to rerelease The Dark Knight in theaters in January. Superhero-Hype has news that is no longer the case. Which is annoying because I was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to watching that in IMAX again. Man.

Co-writer Marc Guggenheim says he and his fellow writers are making minor tweaks to the script, but nothing super major. He also says the designs for the Lanterns' base planet of Oa are like nothing you've ever seen on film before. Man, if I could wish a movie into not sucking, this would be the one. There are rumors about a Clark Kent cameo. Who would you cast as Hal Jordan? I'm not the biggest Hal fan, so I know my take is biased.

SCI FI Channel told SCI FI Wire that it's going to premiere the first of 10 new Battlestar Galactica webisodes on SCIFI.COM on Dec. 12. There is some juicy stuff about Gaeta in these from what I'm gathering.

I'm gathering I should be reading Madame Xanadu. Anyone out there reading this comic? It looks interesting.

There a LOTS of new Wolverine photos out there. Here are a few of them: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=50946 The trailer comes before The Day the Earth Stood Still next Friday.

SCI FI Channel has officially greenlit "Caprica," the much-anticipated prequel to hit series "Battlestar Galactica," reports Variety. So far I haven't been too impressed with what I've seen but it could just be early stuff. The mini-series was just okay too.

CBS has announced its midseason schedule - http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=50953 Yeah! More Amazing Race! Woooo!

I'm reading Madame Xanadu... and I was actually thinking about writing a post about how people should be reading it and House of Mystery, which are two great books I don't see a lot of people talking about.

What do you like about it? What is the feel of the book?

Well, I've always been a big fan of the Phantom Stranger, and this book has been setting up the relationship between Madame Xanadu and the Stranger in this first arc.

The art is beautiful, and I can't wait to see how this first storyline wraps up and how the series progresses from there.

Originally, Hal Jordan's look was based off of Paul Newman and Sinestro was based off of David Niven, so I'd probably try to find modern equivilents to that. No idea who those would be mind you, but that's why God invented Casting Directors.

Hrmmmm. He'd have to bulk up a bit.

That's what they get paid the big bucks for.

Who would you cast as Hal Jordan?

Kyle Rayner. ;-)

Seriously... hmmm... Ben Browder springs to mind. Or maybe Dominic Purcell.

Kyle would be John Cusack, Guy would be Adam Baldwin and a bottle of hair dye, and John would be Joe Morton.

For the most part, I like your casting but I think Kyle would be John Cusack of a decade ago, alas.

Morton might be a little older than John, too. But if I can fantasy cast, I can do it with a time machine!

"I'm not the biggest Hal fan, so I know my take is biased."

Out of curiousity, which Lantern(s) are you big fans of?

Kilowog, Mogo, Katma Tui (alas, dead), Arisia (formerly dead), Leezle Pon... Most the the ones no one knows. If I have to chose one of the Earth Lanterns, I'm usually torn between John and Guy.

Hal Jordan = Josh Holloway.

Hrmmm. I find this idea intriguing.

It isn't a bad fit. I'd have to stop thinking of him as Gambit, obviously.

Alright, since we've all commented about Hal Jordan, and I'll admit, I highly anticipate who they are going to pick. However, I am generally disappointed with Hollywood picking actors for my comic heroes, so my hopes are not high. But this Wolverine movie..... I'm REALLY tired of seeing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. And Liev Schrieber, love, but he is not even BIG enough to portray Sabretooth. I have too many issues, but those are the main ones.

I like Hugh as Wolverine. He's too tall but he gets the grumpy pissed off thing. Though, he has said, that if people don't like the new movie, he'll walk away. He doesn't want this to become something that drags on. On the other hand he wants to do the Japan stuff, which would be awesome.
