HBO has greenlit the pilot for a series based on George R.R. Martin’s series of “A Song of Ice and Fire”. They're planning on one book per season, which is mind boggling to me. I don't even know how you'd do that.

But, I do know that means he should realy write faster if he hopes for this to be long term.

Yes, George has an LJ where you can find out why his next book has been so delayed. He;s a busy man.

Yeah. I read it myself. He's a busy guy. I try to be patient but most other authors I read put out multiple books a year... While I don't mind re-reading books, I hate to have to do it just so I remember what was happening.

Yeah. Each episode will really be a 4 hour miniseries.
