X-men Noir is coming in December. I'm looking forward to it. First time in awhile I've really looked forward to something Marvel.
A photo of Eva Longoria leaving Marvel Studios with a bunch of comic books is leading people to speculate that she'd be a decent fit for The Wasp. I think she'd make a decent Janet Van Dyne. There is certainly a lot of worse casting.
I don't watch Smallville anymore but I keep seeing spoilers for it. It looks like we're going to be getting more Oliver Queen time - flashbacks to the island and the death of his parents and such. I still won't watch. Just give the guy his own show already, would you? Also Operation Save Clark Kent is a Smallville fansite and this site is hoping that this is the last season. And these people are FANS.
I watched the first episode of Fringe and I'm interested. I'm not sold yet but I am at least interested. There is a lot of room to move here and it never hurts tho have the characters thrown into the deep end of turmoil right off. Anyone else have thoughts on it?
DCU Online is trying REALLY HARD to get my money. Jim Lee over looking art. Geoff Johns is doing writing things for plots. Which sounds like fun. Man. And speaking fo fun this sounds like fun: "When 'Halo' 3 came out, I played quite a bit. Games like 'Call of Duty' pretty much sucked me in," said Johns. "I play with Greg Rucka a lot. And lately, on 'Halo' and 'Call of Duty,' I play with mostly the Marvel guys, [Matt] Fraction and [Ed] Brubaker and Rick Reed. I play with [Rick] Remender. And Adam Schlagman, who is my associate editor on 'Green Lantern' and 'Legion of Three Worlds,' is on there a lot too. We actually played 'Grand Theft Auto' 4 for a weekend once.
Columbia Pictures is talking to producer Joe Roth for XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, which would supposedly bring back Vin Diesel as star and Rob Cohen as director. Ehn.
“I want to do it,” Favreau says. “We’re drawing War Machine. We’re figuring it out. We’re talking to Terrence to see if he can take some time out of his new life as a musician to be War Machine.” - Hell Yes. I want to see that. That moment in that movie was cooler than it had any right to be.
Katee Sackhoff will play the lead in NBC's pilot ""Lost and Found". The hour long show centers on Tessa, an offbeat female LAPD detective who, after butting heads with the higher-ups, is sent as a punishment to the basement to work on John Doe and Jane Doe cases.

Date: 2008-09-15 07:24 pm (UTC)Also, it's really pretty, and Jim Lee's version of Wonder Woman is wearing a skirt (halle-frickin-lujah, I'm so tired of the star-spangled thong). Jim's doing concept art for all the main characters. It's really a sight, the hallways of SOE-Austin are plastered floor to ceiling with character concepts. :D
But you uh...didn't hear that from me. ;)

Date: 2008-09-15 07:27 pm (UTC)I agree, DCU Online is trying very hard to tempt my money away from me. Kinda wish I had taken the time to try it out at Comic Con now.

Date: 2008-09-15 07:55 pm (UTC)Man, have you read any Nova? Despite the fact that I do trades mostly these days (including Nova), seeing the monthly on the shelf every month tempts me sorely... "It is critical you pay attention at this time." Worldmind FTW!

Date: 2008-09-15 09:21 pm (UTC)I agree with you on "Fringe." I was iffy with it in the beginning, but by the end of the pilot, I was convinced that it deserved a chance. I think there are only two ways it can go - it's either going to be really interesting, with lots of twists and turns and cool crazy shit going down, or it's going to be over-the-top and totally suck.
I'm definitely going to give it a chance, though. Sadly, I have back to school night this week, so I'm already going to miss an episode. My parents will have to DVR it for me, and which means I'll have to drive to their house sometime this weekend so I can watch it...
