So, it looks like WB already settled with Paramount over Watchmen, only to have this issue with Fox pop up. Really. Just how complicated is this mess? It seems that Paramount still has the foreign distribution rights to the movie. How many ways can you slice this thing? There is another good article on the whole thing over here.

The second half of Season 3 of Heroes will be titled “Fugitives.” Villains. Fugitives. Hrmmmm.

For those who care, Dancing with the Stars has announced their new line-up. There are some seriously interesting names on that list.

There are some more absurd rumors about who might play Catwoman. Angelina I understand but Cher? Really? Maybe twenty years ago... Maybe even fifteen.

Michael Keaton will be voicing Ken in Toy Story 3.

There is a new poster in those X-men Noir posters. I'll come back in here and link to it once I find it. I like it. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who are grumpy about it.

Me too. I just like the dancing part. You can ask Kris, I fast forward through the judging and the commentary. I couldn't care less.

That's totally what I do. I Tivo, then watch the dancing, and occasionally listen to the judges, but never the flavor commentary, never the practice routines, and never the unnecessary stuff. Just really like to watch them dance.

*nods* Sounds about the same as what I do too. Sometimes the practice stuff is fun to see them screw stuff up but normally I skip right over that too.

Now that I've gone totally Battlestar, Heroes just doesn't excite me anymore. Makes me feel like I'm watching a show that's trying to be Star Trek and the XMen at the same time.

*grins*

It is interesting enough for me to watch it. I do like some of the characters and I want to see what happens with it. But I generally agree with you.

My buddy is drawing that X-Men Noir comic and I've seen a ton more of the art. It's gonna be super good, let the haters hate...

Misty May-Treanor?
Lance Bass?

WTF? That's an odd list.

Movie Rights?

All this bickering keeps good people away from making movies.
How many Niel Gaiman films were never made because of suits.
About the only good thing about the current climate is that we are getting some cool books and comics made into cool movies.
But I really wish that Hollywood would get back to making original material again.
There seems to be a climate of non creativity, and extreme risk avoidance.
I have to wonder how many groundbreaking truly good, monumental scripts are sitting on shelves because no one has the anatomical fortitude to make them.

Agreed. I love that we're getting some of these things but the rest of it is mostly re-hashes and remakes.
