Relativity Media is hoping to pick up Voltron: Defender of the Universe after Fox’s New Regency pretty much dropped it. C'mon Voltron! You can make it to the big screen....

Warner Bros. is resurrecting The Banana Splits in what they are calling a “multiplatform effort”. This effort includes shorts and music videos and Cartoon Network. After it gets going, DVD and CD releases and live performances, are planned. That's... special.

Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski are writing the Goosebumps movie. This is an interesting choice. Go take a look at what these guys have written. Some excellent stuff and some really unexcellent stuff. Hard to tell where we're going here.

I think I mentioned this here before but it can get more mentioned. Kevin Smith on Watchmen: "It’s fucking astounding. The Non-Disclosure Agreement I signed prevents me from saying much, but I can spout the following with complete joygasmic enthusiasm: Snyder and Co. have pulled it off. Remember that feeling of watching “Sin City” on the big screen and being blown away by what a faithful translation of the source material it was, in terms of both content and visuals? Triple that, and you’ll come close to watching “Watchmen.” Even Alan Moore might be surprised at how close the movie is to the book. March can’t come soon enough."

It looks like The Punisher movie might well be R rated after all. Make up your minds people. This shouldn't be too hard. Punisher = guns = R

Is it just me or does this look like Rogue? Marvel is working on a big noir project and I think it has Rogue and Magneto in it. OoOoOooO. Magneto. Cyclops?

Are you sure that's Magneto? I'm not saying he's not in the project, but that little hair wh00p looks an awful lot like Logan..

Logan doesn't wear big purple coats. It actually looks more like Quicksilver's hair swoops but he's too muscular to be Quicksilver.

Yeah. And Magneto's hair has been known to do the little wh00p, too.

I just don't know why she has a gun....

Why does Cyke, for that matter? Because it's noir! EVERYBODY has a gun in noir!

Those could also be Daredevil, The Owl, and... I dunno White Tger IV, or Echo, or Typhoid Mary.

Those are characters who actually fit in a more crime/noir setting.

Good point but they're indicating that these are all well known characters. I'd argue against The Owl being all that well known.

Man, I miss Greer Grant being The Cat. Nothing against Tigra but man...
