So, there is another Dark Knight trailer over here: http://www.latinoreview.com/news.php?id=4853 There is a Comcast site out there for the movie and it is pretty sweet.

There is a rumor out there that Robotech finally has a script writer. Lawrence Kasdan. This name may or may not be familiar to you all. It certainly is to me. He co-wrote Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, AND Raiders of the Lost Ark. And if this is the guy they've gotten - I'm so on board right now. So much. (The theme is playing in my head right now.)

So. It looks like the second half of the fourth season of Battlestar Galactica is, in fact, coming in 2009. On the bright side, however, it looks like we're getting more of it than originally planned. It was going to be 10 hours (9 episodes and a 2 hour finale) it looks like we're getting 11 or maybe even 12 hours. The 90 prequel Razor-like movie is all but a certainty at this point. It really looks like they're trying to get as much of this as they possibly can before it ends. (And this is bad ass - http://www.amazon.com/Official-Battlestar-Galactica-Propaganda-Poster/dp/B0013GA7SA/)

The rumors about Captain America casting are flying fast and furious. It seems like they want DiCaprio as Cap. And Brad Pitt as Thor... or Cap if Leo turns them down. I don't think Brad Pitt is Thor. He's much more Hawkeye than either one of the others but then again, I am not a huge Avengers nerd. Anyone of you out there want to make a comment?

Do you want to read the original Darabont script for Indy? It could have been so much better - http://www.aintitcool.com/node/37049

I'm going to see the 3rd Mummy movie. Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh sword fight. I'm going to see it.

MTV Movies Blog is reporting that a teaser will be shown for Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins before The Dark Knight. Christian Bale, my friends. Mmmmmm.

Speaking of which, the track listings for the soundtrack are out there now for The Dark Knight. There are some small spoilers in there but nothing too surprising.

Meh. I don't think Leo's got the face for Cap. He's a good actor, but meh. Me, I want Jensen Ackles to play Cap, which will never happen, and if I can't have Ackles...Pitt would be okay, though I think he'd have been better ten years ago when he was at the height of Pretty Boy. I don't necessarily think of Cap as Pretty Boy, but I'd have preferred Pitt as him a decade ago anyway. :) I'd heard rumor about McCaughney, which would...he's got the good ol' boy charm I'd like Cap to have, but I don't know that the man can *act*. He can sure run around without a shirt, but acting? I donno.

I'd like Kevin McKidd (Lucius Vorenus from Rome) to play Thor, myself. I think he'd be awesome.

No, no. He's Gambit. Or he should be.

Hawkeye was the original "bad boy" superhero. Well he and Namor, oh and Quicksilver.

Gambit is just a Johnny-come-lately in magenta body armor.

*shrugs* I don't see them as the same people at all. Holloway doesn't look like Hawkeye to me.

Personally when I think of Captain America I think the all american hero. Tall, buff etc.

So I would either vote the actor of Mal from Serenity.

or

The actor of Jayne from Serenity.

Or

John Barrowman from Torchwood

I'm not a big avengers nerd either, but Brad Pitt would make an excellent Hawkeye.

For Thor I would think that

Maybe the actor for Boramir's brother from Lord of the Rings?

I don't think DiCaprio or Pitt are buff enough for either role... :-/

I agree with you that the guy from Lost'd make a good Gambit.

After seeing Brad Pitt as Achilles, I could deal with Brad Pitt as Thor.

Personally, I want an actual Bristish guy to play the Odinson. I was excited when I heard that Kevin McKidd might be up for the role, but now it looks like he was actually up for a different Asgardian (maybe Fandral? I could see him as Fandral). My other choice for Thor would be Gerald Butler (watch him in Beowulf to see why).

DiCaprio as Cap? My first reaction was that he should play Bucky instead of Cap, but I'm thinking Leo in the 90's. Looking at recent pictures of him, he might be able to pull it off.

That's true. I just... have a hard time with Brad as Thor. I more see him as the guy who picks up the hammer and becomes Thor (depending on which incarnation we're dealing with, of course.)

Gerard Butler or Vincent D'onofrio (Go look at Adventures in Babysitting. I'll wait until you get back.)

I swear to god I went to the product page and read "Join the battle against Cylon tyranny!" as "Join the battle against Cylon trannies!"

Might be time for a nap.

Yes. You might need a nap or... coffee.

My other thought for Thor is the one strongly rumored to be in line for the part - Jean-Paul Levesque, aka Triple-H from WWE. He'd need some speech coaching to get the dialect right, but he's got the LOOK for Thor that Pitt doesn't. And personally, I see Butler as more Odin than Thor.

Was what? Captain America? No one has been signed yet. At least not that's been announced.
