WOOOOOOOOO!

A TON of respect for the Penguins. That was a hell of a series and they will be VERY ready for who ever they end up facing when they get there again. Fluery was AMAZING and that goal he knocked in will haunt him. I hope it doesn't stay with him too long. He's great and he'll be even greater if he learns from this.

And Crosby... Well. He's freaking Crosby. Who needs to say more than that? He'll learn from this and become the leader his team needs him to be - he's young. He'll be more awesome in the future, I'm sure.

I love Zetterberg, don't get me wrong but the Con Smythe should have gone to Ozzie.

And soon I'll be in Michigan! Woooo! I'll get gear!

congrats on your team's win... they certainly showed why they were the number one defense.

The Pens have an amazingly bright future in front of them. This experience will serve them very well.

The last two games when the Pens failed to score on two 5-3s...GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAR. Yeah. That's when I felt the awesomeness of that defense.

What impresses me is the sheer number of short handed goals I've seen from them.

Yeah I felt bad for Fluery on that goal. It is kind of funny how Lids has lost his accent meanwhile the other Sweeds on the team have one, either semi there or thick enough that it starts getting hard to understand them.

Hopefully the Pens will be able to learn from this and be better. Finally Mulkien managed to get a goal. I do hope that those three youngins on that pit team will win the cup soon.

Also hopefully the president's trophy curse on the wings has come to an end with this.

My reaction to the Cup was pretty much that the Red Wings deserved to win this one, but the Pens...they're the team of the future. I so much hurt for Fleury and that goal, but it was pretty much out of his control. I hope he knows that. And the Pens won game 5 pretty much on the back of his amazing, incredible, awesome display in goal.

Totally. This was a New Guard vs Old Guard Cup and I was happy to see it. I think that the Wings will see three or four retirements now, maybe even needing to find a new captain, as I'm not sure how many years Lidstrom is going to keep going. I'm sure the Wings will be a good team but I think they're about to go into a rebuilding period.

I agree with that feel about that final it did feel like the old guard showing the new guard how it is done. It was like the Wings were teaching through showing the Penguins how good they could be and how tough they will have to be next time.

That was really an incredible game. I was hugely impressed by the efforts from both teams and at just how hard they played their hearts out from start to finish.

That was exactly the sort of Stanley Cup Finals the NHL needed. Hockey is a great game but a lot of the time it is hard to see just how amazing it is on TV.
