For the most part I'm in agreement. I'm really hoping that Meet Dave and the Love Guru do worse than predicted there. I don't know that the new Mummy movie will do as well as they say, either. Brendan Frasier is cute and Jet Li is awesome but... Well... I'm not expecting a hell of a lot out of that mess.

What do you all think?

Guillermo del Toro is going to be directing The Hobbit and the bridge movie covering the 60 or so years between The Hobbit and the begining of Fellowship. There is a lot there to go over. It'll be a seriously challenging movie to make. This does mean that The Hobbit will be creepy and delightful and I'll place good odds on getting Ron Perlman as the voice of Smaug.

Here is a better trailer for Hancock. Will Smith is Mr. 4th of July. I'm looking forward to this one more now that I have a bit more to it.

The rumor is that Transformer's 2 is going to start filming June 2.

*laugh* Ted and I knew Will Smith had a movie coming out and he was trying to figure out when, and I'm like, "It'll be the 4th of July weekend. Will Smith *owns* the 4th of July." :)

...also, Ron Perlman as Smaug's voice would rock hard.

Hancock could be great. It looks hilarious, though I'm worried that it's only going to be funny for the first portion of the movie, a la Office Space.

Yeah. No likey that format. I always end up loving the first half, buying it, and feeling like I only got a 45 minute movie.
