I'm remembering weekends during high school, usually spent in dark basements, trying to figure out ways to keep my dwarf alive until Sunday evening, and (almost) never succeeding...not the healthy of ways to spent one's time, but it was still a lot of fun.

Wow man and with 4E coming out too. Without him and his friend RPGs and everything else that came after he created D&D might not be the same as we know it today. D&D put a lot of words into a semi everyday vocab for many people.
