Variety has published an in-depth article talking about how a possible Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike could affect movie productions in a big way, obviously. Essentially Hollywood studios are refusing to schedule new start dates on films that can't complete shooting by June 30.

Here are a few more specific notes: Steven Spielberg has halted an April production start on the The Trial of the Chicago 7. Transformers 2 is still on track for June 26, 2009. Justice League is aiming at mid July 2009, they're looking at getting a rewrite of the script in the next six weeks, which is good because it needs it. WB revealed earlier this week that it will begin shooting Terminator 4 on May 5 in Albuquerque. Sony will begin shooting its The Da Vinci Code sequel Angels & Demons in Rome on June 5.

A new Get Smart trailer is here - http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/getsmart/ I'm going to be there for The Rock, if nothing else. I love him so.

Variety reports that CBS has picked up three more drama projects. "NY-LON" is based on a six-episode U.K. series that aired on Channel 4 in fall 2004. The project centers on a man and a woman who attempt an extremely-long distance romance (between New York and London) after a chance meeting in London. "Mythological X" revolves around a woman who discovers -- via psychic -- that she has already dated the man she was destined to married. The character then embarks on a mission to find "the one" by combing through all of her old relationships. "Can Openers" centers on a woman in her 20s as she enters a seven-year neurosurgical residency, encountering a competitive, clubby atmosphere along the way. Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain have joined the staff of Joss Whedon's Fox project "Dollhouse."

According to Marv Wolfman, the direct-to-video Teen Titans: The Judas Contract animated feature, could be in trouble. Wolfman states the movie is currently on hold because, according to Warner Home Video, there may not be a big enough audience for the Teen Titans: The Judas Contract to be successful. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract was originally scheduled to be the third DC Universe Animated Movie before Warner Home Video delayed it, opting to produce Batman: Gotham Knight and Wonder Woman instead. Man. I WANT THIS SO MUCH. Arg.

JMS, who is writing the Silver Surfer movie, says that Galactus will be much more present in that than he was in FF2. Well. I should hope so. But currently there is no director, no release date...

Here is an interesting review of 4th Ed for D&D - http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35776

And there is a VERY impassioned plea about the current cut of Where The Wild Things Are - http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35768

Damn, and I was looking forward to Judas Contract, especially if they weren't going to water it down.

The 4th Ed review is interesting.

As for the Rock...he's still slated to play Black Adam, right?

If it gets made. Right now everyone is still interested but there hasn't been any progress.
