Some things that make me smile today -

The paragraph that makes me smile is this one about Torchwood: "Indeed, Jack and some of the other characters in the series represent an almost “post-gay” approach to sexual themes, in which sexual identity is represented as fluid and complicated, and, more importantly, as not a big deal. It simply is what it is. As the series opening reminds us each week, the 21st century is when it all changes; aliens and alien technology are popping up with increasing regularity and wreaking havoc on earth, and serving as a metaphor for the life changes we experience given the speed of real-world technological development."

Because that explains a lot of how I feel about the whole gender/sexual identity/orientation thing. It says it better than I've ever managed to scrape together.

Is that the speech he gave at the Ebenezer church in the services? I caught that last night on C-SPAN. It was great. He started off all calm, and it sounded like he was tired, and he just brought it up slowly until he was on full ThunderObama.

Constantine as #2? Yeesh. Azzarello's one "edgy" retarded disaster of a story arc does not a lifelong homo make. I'm not trying to claim he is or isn't anything in particular, but the phrase "bisexual protagonist of his own comic series that’s been continuously published since 1988" is intentionally misleading.
