Hey all of you...
Jan. 7th, 2008 12:38 pmI'm thinking of taking a class from the Seattle Language Academy.
Would anyone else be interested in taking either French or Japanese with me? I'd try for Ancient Greek but it is on Mondays and Wednesdays, which makes it a big not gonna happen.

Date: 2008-01-07 09:06 pm (UTC)That's for French 102, which is probably below me all things considered but I'm really, really rusty and the description of the 101 class is full of the whole, "Hi. I am so and so. Who are you?" sorts of stuff.

Date: 2008-01-07 10:15 pm (UTC)This lower intermediate class is appropriate for those who have a basic command of the two Japanese syllabaries (hiragana and katakana) and the grammar and vocabulary presented in Japanese 101. Grammatical material covers the basic usage and classification of Japanese verbs and the use of the particles ni, e, to, and kara. Hiragana and Katakana are studied more fully and students learn to read Kana sentences without spaces and recognize common Japanese signs with Kana and Kanji. By the end of the course students will know how to express location, talk about travel plans and daily schedules and activities, extend invitations to friends, make and receive telephone calls, give and receive directions and give basic descriptions of people and things.

Date: 2008-01-08 05:03 pm (UTC)Let me illustrate for a moment:
This Sat - Pinewood Derby (till sometime in the afternoon)
1/19 - D&D
1/20 - possibly fly to Austin for work
1/22 - fly back and parent meeting in evening
1/24 - pack meeting
1/25 - company holiday party (unusual, but there)
1/26 - Cub Scout one day camp
AND Leigh commonly goes out Friday nights.
Mon / Wed would be best for me class wise, but it looks like it would suck something mighty for y'all. Hrmmmmmmm.....
Summertime I could do something though, as I don't have the Tu/Th stuff then.
