More updates...
Sep. 27th, 2007 12:37 pmWarner Bros. Pictures, The Weinstein Company and Imagi Animation Studios agreed upon principal terms for the worldwide distribution of the feature films Gatchaman and AstroBoy.
Martin Scorsese will direct an untitled documentary about the life of George Harrison, reports Variety.
Russell Mulcahy ( Resident Evil: Extinction ) will direct Zen in the Art of Slaying Vampires , a project in development by CP Productions partners Michael Cerenzie and Christine Peters.
More news on Justice League. Aquaman IS in the movie. The plot is sounding more and more the way I thought it would. And I can tell you EXACTLY which two story lines are being blended together because one of them I love very much. (And one not so much.) And I have a pretty goo idea who the bad guy is going to be, too. And I really want to go off about this at someone but it would be insanely spoilery.
NBC is bringing back "Knight Rider," hiring Doug Liman ( Mr. and Mrs. Smith , The Bourne Identity ) to produce a Transformers -inspired reworking of the 1980s hit action-drama series about a man and his indestructible supercar. Apparently he gets to make a 2 hour pilot and if the ratings don't blow, they'll sign it on for the 2008-2009 season. And you know what? I almost want it to make it. Just so I can be at a Knight Rider panel at Comic Con.
This has made me think about my favorite 80's shows and realize they were very much the sme with different and interesting coats of paint. The A-Team: Guys driving around in a van and helping people. Knight Rider: Guy and a car driving around and helping people. Magnum P.I.: Guy driving around Hawaii helping people. These sorts of shows seem to have vanished, mostly. We still get stuff like Angel: Vampire running around city helping people... (Which, btw, I'm pretty sure is what Moonlight is going to be. Just slightly different paint.)
On a more personal note, I burned the hell out of my arm last night. Go hot oil! Woooo! I'm generally grumpy with the world for reasons which I never seem to be able to convey well, except to a few specific people. There is an apartment in Ben's building which is open and I'm going to go take a look at it. I'd miss living where I do but decrease in rent and Queen Anne are both good things... *shugs* I don't know. I'm fearful of a rent increase at my current place.... Meh.

Date: 2007-09-27 09:34 pm (UTC)Really. Honest. It...*sniff*... they wouldn't do this to their loyal fans forever.
Plus, I'm a continuity whore. I NEED to know background and plots and...let's just say it would cost me hundreds of dollars to get caught up on DC goodness. Another dining room chair broke today. I don't know how my man would react if I told him, "look, baby, we can sit on piles of trade paperbacks. Really!"

Date: 2007-09-27 10:35 pm (UTC)Immediately after watching it we turned to look at each other and simultaneously said "Forever Knight".
It's not exactly the same premise, but it's pretty darn close.
