One fo these days I'll update how I am but right now, I'm in the stage where I'm not thinking about it since that doesn't actually seem to help. Bleh. Lots of things to process. Lots of work stress.

So, instead I bring you movie news!

The Rock says he's in talks to play Black Adam AND Captain Marvel. Now, does that mean they want him for both or that they want him for one or... I have no idea. But this intrigues me. I would like to know more.

Phil Tippett's Tippet Studios are working on a very big hush-hush project with J.J. Abrams. You get one guess what that is. So, it looks like they're pulling in great guys for this creature movie. I really hope it doesn't totally blow.

Entertainment Weekly says Warner Bros. is already looking at Jessica Biel to play Princess Diana of Themyscira. *sighs* C'mon guys. Really? Why must you hurt us so? Some people like the casting though. At least it isn't Jessica Alba.

There are more story details coming out about this Justice League movie. It seems the line up still isn't settled. Now it seems that the characters of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash and Martian Manhunter comprise the League. It looks like the Lantern of choice is..... John Stewart! I have a link to spoilers if you want 'em. Lemme just say that the plot? Will look VERY familiar to anyone who has read JLA in the past... 10 years or so. It is a mix of two plots. One I loved and one I didn't love so much. So, we'll see.

Tyler Nelson an actor in Indy IV gave an interview to his hometown paper (The Edmonton Sun) where he talked about his involvement in the new Indy movie - and then got into plenty of trouble, and possibly cut from the film altogether. The Sun pulled the article and Spielberg is apparently going nuts over this. He hates that there are leaks and Lucas is reportedly telling him to chill out about it, having learned about this stuff with the prequels.

A crew member involved in the filming of the new Batman movie has died in a car accident on the set, according to Reuters. The Dark Knight special effects technician was killed when his 4x4 vehicle crashed into a tree during a dummy film run involving the Batmobile.

At the All Candy Expo last week it was announced that Reese’s will include bat-shaped chocolate and peanut butter pieces, and Kit Kat wafers bars will be stamped with the bat signal. Wrappers and displays for both brands will flag an instant win sweepstakes for Bat Cave prizes like Batman-themed Ducati motorcycle, media center wall, replica movie props and downloadable posters. Can I even explain to you HOW MUCH I WANT THAT? It'll be like getting a golden ticket. (And to be honest, there might be other prizes but I really kind of stopped reading after that.)

Paramount Pictures has set a June 26, 2009 release date for Transformers 2.

And... I think that's it right now. (1 week until hockey!)

I think he can act. There has been like one movie that's really given him something to do other than stand there and look awesome. And even that was minimal.

Scorpion King was funny cheese and that's about it, really. Most of his stuff has been. But funny!

It'll be like getting a golden ticket. You know... How sad is it that a week ago I wouldn't have understood that reference? I told my M-I-L that I hadn't seen it and she forcibly sat me down with a bucket of popcorn. Such a great show.

A Batman-themed Ducati motorcycle would so rock.

Ah. How many people ask me that...

His Dark Materials Trilogy (The Golden Compass; The Subtle Knife; The Amber Spyglass) by Philip Pullman
Pretty much anything by Roald Dahl.
The Giver by Lois Lowry
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle
Alanna: The First Adventure (Song of the Lioness) by Tamora Pierce (All four of these books are favorites of mine.)
The Dark Is Rising (Boxed Set): The Dark Is Rising, Greenwitch, Over Sea, Under Stone, Silver on the Tree, The Grey King by Susan Cooper
The Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell
Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster

There is a start...

These are all over the scale as to how serious and/or heavy they are. Some are certainly more fluffy than others.
