http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2007/08/08/heroes-star-hopes-to-land-robin-role/ - Maybe not in Batman, Milo but there is this Titans movie being made....

Carla Gugino has joined the cast of Watchmen, the Warner Bros. adaptation of the DC Comics limited series, as Sally Jupiter.

And it looks like Johnny Quest is next up on the, "We're stealing from your childhood" tour.

That or the Eddie the Eagle movie. Yeah. That British skijumper. You remember him.

There will be a teaser for "Razor" (The Galactica film that will be coming in November) in front of the season premier of Eureka on the 10th. Tomorrow.

Y'know, as overhyped as Aishwarya is in the Hindi film industry - and as much as I personally dislike her -...I can't help but feel a little nice being able to watch people of my own ethnicity in movies being made here now.

It feels kinda nice.

Also? Fuck yeah on Thor and let's hope Milo gets to play Robin. (Though I call dibs on playing Starfire in that movie, dammit.)

Okay. Well, it is on the 10th, either way. Where ever I'd read it said it that way. Maybe it is just a special episode? I don't know.

I'm surprised you didn't say anything about The Sarah Connor Chronicles. With Summer Glau from Firefly.

Because it isn't new, really...? I've been seeing stuff from this for months now. Even saw like half an episode at Comic Con. I'm torn, really, as to if I like it or not. It has some really awesome bits that I've seen but there are weak parts inbetween the awesome.

Oh. And it is on Fox. So, if it is any good, I'm expecting it to diappear mid-season.

Good heavens, why? Look at this cast, and...

Grrr.

Is anything new in Hollywood anymore?

I fear the Jonny Quest movie. The Underdog movie appalls me; why is there not more rhyming?!!?!?

Well, see, there is this thing happening in Hollywood. They're a machine geared toward large hits. And for them a large hit is measure all in the opening week, for the most part. If you have a smaller movie, Oh, let me pick Stardust for example, you'll have a lot of people who go to see it over time and it will likely make money. Once on DVD (like Pan's Labrynth as well) it will likely make even more.

The thing is, the big side of Hollywood isn't geared toward that yet. They haven't discovered Long Tail Economics and neither has the music industry but the music industry has a lower bar to entry at the moment due to iTunes and Napster and all of that.

..... And I've been working at this company for a long time. I think about this stuff.
