On another note - Still have three unclaimed tickets for Transformers on the 3rd.

Work sucks this week. It would suck less if I could manage to eat lunch at work sometime this week. I have a LOT of stuff to do and not enough time to do it.

Dinner with a vendor tomorrow. They're paying for it, so far from me to bitch about getting a free dinner at a super posh place but... Ehn. I have a lot of crazy, crazy things to do at work. I'm probably going to end up taking my work computer with me to visit my family because... other wise I will NEVER DIG MY WAY OUT of the hole of work that I'm still in from the trip to Japan.

Ah well. Such is the not at all glamourous life of an Associate Buyer at Amazon.com.

Maybe I'll be able to dig out after Comic Con.

What exactly does a buyer do?

I talk to vendors. I make sure we have all of the product up for people to buy it on the site. I make sure we're getting competative prices on those goods. I help co-ordinate marketing strategies and make sure that product is findable for the customer on the site. I work deals.

Since I'm an associate buyer, I also do all of the grunt work for the buyer of the over arching product line that my items fall under.
