Our colons (and for the ladies, reproductive system) are full of beneficial flora. When we're ill, infecting bacteria often compete with our beneficial bacteria for the same food sources. This results in our good symbiotes not being able to do their job while the bad invaders party on.
In my experience, probiotics won't stop you from getting ill, but they will lessen the intensity. Also, if you're on antibiotics and have a negative reaction, like diarrhea or yeast infection, I find taking probiotics can stave that off.
Well, standing around for two days would have wiped you out, not to mention leaving you vulnerable for sickness. So even if this is just your sinuses and being tired, you may get sicker after exposure to Patient Zero over here.
Speaking of, even if I leave work early today I should probably skip the movie today after all. No sense in further exposing you or anyone else. =/
Trees are doing their thing right now. All I can smell/taste when I go outside is tree pollen. But my allergies kicked in over the weekend in a big way.
