The Pirates trailer is findable here! Oh dear God. I think... I'm going to die of awesome watching this movie. From the looks of it... this series suffers the second movie being a 'set up' movie problem. I'll be looking for an icon of a specific moment...

TMNT, Shooter, The Hills Have Eyes 2, The Last Mimzy, Reign Over Me, Pride and First Snow all start this weekend.

Here is the first chapter of my friend Catie's new book Coyote Dreams, which I will have to read later.

The man who directed Nightwatch is directing Wanted. (Yes, a comic book. Good stuff.) He has Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy signed. Which means I'm going to see it.

Miyazaki has announced his new project and it will be released in Japan in 2008. It is called "Gake no ue no Ponyo" (Ponyo On A Cliff). It is the story of the Princess goldfish Ponyo who wants to become human and 5 years old boy named Sosuke. Key words of the film are "father", "mother", and "a cliff".

Batman Beyond and JLU are releasing their final seasons on DVD this month. I need to own these. The final season of JLU just for "Girl Fight" if nothing else. Because that was also made of awesome.

Because of his awesomeness in 300, Zach Snyder wants to be Gerard Butler in Watchmen. Hrmmmm.

I really want to go to this event. I have written to Amanda Bedell.

Awesome. I know her (mostly of her, though we did intersect a little waaaaaaaaaaay back) through MUSHing.

My world is perilously small these days.

Heh. It is actually pretty amazing how small a community MUSHers really are.

Wanted really, really disappointed me.

I still need to see Nightwatch..

Did it? Hrmmmm. I admit I haven't read all of it since I was late to the game...

Nightwatch is brilliant. What was done with the subtitles alone is worth seeing it.

Did you read the ending? Worst. Ending. Ever.

No. I haven't gotten to the ending. That might be why I'm not all 'Bleeeehhhh.'

I thought it was a fun read up till then, when Mark Millar's "Millarness" exploded through. :)

Not going to France in May is turning out to have been a better and better idea. LOL

JLU are releasing their final seasons on DVD this month.

I thought it's JLU season 2 that's being released this month. IIRC, JL has 2 seasons and JLU has 3?

It was the other way around, I thought?

You might well be right. There were just 5 seasons total.....

Ah ha. I see what happened. JLU season 1 DVDs are JLU seasons 1 and 2. And so the DVD season 2 has TV season 3 in it. How is that for freaking confusing?

Huh, whoa, ok. That *is* confusing. Man, that kinda sucks, because I was looking forward to one more set after this :/

I know. It really puts a finality on the whole thing.

Well, I guess that clears up my confusion as to why there were 26 eps in "seson 1", and only 13 are in "season 2". That did kinda confuse me.

The last Pirate's installment has me skeptical. And I can't help but feel doubly worried because I thought Matrix: Reloaded was just going to be a lull before Revolutions. But man... that was a hell of a trailer.

Yeah. That's where I'm at comparisson wise but it looks awesome. It really does. I think this might be what comes of filming installments together. As a story and as a director, you know that you need to stop this movie at a certain point because it is part of an arc with the second part. There is a paroblem, though. Your entire first (or second as it were) is build up. Build, build, build until the cliffhanger. And it feels kind of lame. What should happen then, though is that all of the pay off is in the second (third) part. While a movie of nothing but pay out can seem like and awesome time... there might well not be much substance. This makes it so that the two together would make a good movie but the two apart are disjointed.
