Zach Braff will earn about $350,000 dollars an episode for the 2007-2008 season of Scrubs. It hasn't officially been picke dup for another season but it looks pretty likely.

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army is finally getting underway. Del Toro is just leaving for Budapest, and Ron Perlman is getting in shape for the film’s start date, which is now set for the end of May.

According to IESB.net, Warner Bros. is looking to McG to get The Losers, going. Hrmmmm. Well. Charlie's Angels wasn't too bad...

Oded Fehr is not returning as Ardeth Bay for the Mummy 3. It is rumored Jet Li is going to be the bad guy in that. And Rob Cohen is directing. ..... The more and more I hear about this, really, the less awesome it sounds.

The Wonder Woman movie is now, pretty much, in development hell. Go Hollywood, go! Joel Silver has stated he's not even looking for a writer or director at the moment, so unless someone with a lot of drive and a clear vision steps up... Development hell is where it will stay for awhile.

Paradise Lost (Yes. The one by Milton.) is on the way to becoming a movie. I hadn't talked about it before because... well... Seriously. I never thought it would get anywhere. But now, we're starting to hear casting ideas thrown around and there was a New York Times article on it. So.... who would YOU cast as Lucifer?

Toby Macguire is talking about hanging up the Spidey costume again. Hard to tell if it is serious, if he's looking for more money again or what. I think there will be more Spidey after this. The real question, though, is Sam Raimi coming back?

Who's directing the Paradise Lost movie? That's weird at best. If it doesn't suck, it might be interesting.

However, I'd cast Johnny Depp as Lucifer. ;)

Vincent Newman is producing. And... it looks like Scott Derrickson is directing.

1. If Tobey hangs up the costume [though if he's serious, his back could be playing up. He did hurt himself pretty badly doing SM2], I say get Jake Gyllenhaall [sp] on the phone stat.

2. Sam Raimi better be still onboard. I do not want this franchise getting Schumacherized.

Sam hasn't really gotten to do anything else since he's started Spidey. There is doing something you love and then there is only doing on thing at all...

In an interview with Wizard, Sam sounded pretty tempted by another Spider-Man. Though he also had reservations -- basically that the franchise eats his life.

So maybe what we need is like 4-5 years to the next Spidey. That would give Macguire a chance to do other projects and heal the back, Raimi a chance to spend time with his kids.

That's what I'm thinking.

Take a bit of a break, you know?

I totally got my hopes up...

I always confuse this book with "On My Way to Paradise" by David Wolverton, which is one of my favorite books ever. So it went "woohoo!" and then "wait a minute... awww." Drat.

It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Depending on how it's handled, it could either be awesome or suck beyond the telling. It's such a classic and has such a loyal following, if they don't do it very carefully, they'll piss off a lot of people.

As for Lucifer? Jeremy Irons

Hrmmmm.

I guess it depends on which way you're going. Jeremy Irons is an after the fall Lucifer to me.

I don't know that anyone could ever top Viggo as Lucifer so no idea who I would cast.

I worry about the WW movie. Someone who can take the character seriously needs to be chosen, and alas that Hollywood seems disinclined to find that person. I worry about an Elektra redux.

Johnny Depp
Jeremy Irons
Viggo Mortenson

are all good suggestions.

Personally I would go with

David Bowie
Christopher Walken
or
Patrick Stewert
