I love the Internet.
Feb. 27th, 2007 04:03 amWhat the hell did I ever do for insomnia before YouTube?
Geeze. I just watched like three Justice League episodes. I just wish the DVDs weren't so pricey. *makes a face*
Good stuff, though.
I also dreamed up a letter I might send to Jeff Bezos. We shall see. It is All Hands on my birthday, after all.

Date: 2007-02-27 06:47 pm (UTC)The YouTube is a thing of wonder.
Sometimes people talk about wanting to go back in time and reboot thier lives from when they were in high school or college. When I graduated high school, I was working on a 386 that ran Word Perfect 5.1. My "internet" was local BBS's.
There isn't enough love or money in the world to make me go back.

Now, I want a Motorola Q so I can have access to the web anywhere, anywhen. Okay, I really want an iPhone, but I don't have a spare $600 laying around, so I'll think about the Q instead.

Date: 2007-02-27 07:16 pm (UTC)But hey, I don't need to sell Apple's overpriced wares to someone who doesn't need them. :) I'm sure they'll do more than well enough off the MacAddicts alone.
If I'm very lucky, everyone else is already working on knockoffs. Of course, if it's like everything else, they'll have the same functionality, but none of Apple's friendly user interface.

Date: 2007-02-27 07:21 pm (UTC)And... Well... I really don't like browsing from such a small screen. We'll see if my mind changes on that but I like my screens big.
