What the hell did I ever do for insomnia before YouTube?

Geeze. I just watched like three Justice League episodes. I just wish the DVDs weren't so pricey. *makes a face*

Good stuff, though.

I also dreamed up a letter I might send to Jeff Bezos. We shall see. It is All Hands on my birthday, after all.

It is All Hands on my birthday, after all.

Now I'm definitely going to your birthday party.

...what.

WHY are you awake?! You goof. I am sternly shaking my finger at you RIGHT NOW. Okay, not right NOW, but I was before I started typing this.

YouTube let me rediscover the wonder of music videos by Die Arzte, my favourite German Punk Band. Oh, Bela. I had such a crush on you once.

The YouTube is a thing of wonder.

Sometimes people talk about wanting to go back in time and reboot thier lives from when they were in high school or college. When I graduated high school, I was working on a 386 that ran Word Perfect 5.1. My "internet" was local BBS's.

There isn't enough love or money in the world to make me go back.

I remember those days of internet.

Ah. How naieve I was to wonder why anyone would ever need a 14.4.

I once wondered why I needed broadband.

*shudder*

Now, I want a Motorola Q so I can have access to the web anywhere, anywhen. Okay, I really want an iPhone, but I don't have a spare $600 laying around, so I'll think about the Q instead.

An iPhone is more gadgets than I need. Hell, I hardly use my cellphone as it is.

Heh. I don't have a landline. My cellphone is it.

And I love my iPod.

And I want internet connectivity anywhere I go, any time of day or night.

I am such a geek.

The only phone I have is my cellphone. No land line for me. I just dislike phones. And people don't call me. And I don't need a PDA - in fact, I'm avoiding one or work will be able to get a hold of me all day and all night.

See, that's part of the beauty of the iPhone - it doesn't have a PDA built in. Lots of people are bitching about that. It's a phone, a music player, and a web browser. That's it.

But hey, I don't need to sell Apple's overpriced wares to someone who doesn't need them. :) I'm sure they'll do more than well enough off the MacAddicts alone.

If I'm very lucky, everyone else is already working on knockoffs. Of course, if it's like everything else, they'll have the same functionality, but none of Apple's friendly user interface.

Apple. Man, they are not friendly to work with, lemme tell yah.

And... Well... I really don't like browsing from such a small screen. We'll see if my mind changes on that but I like my screens big.
