Rage Against the Machine is getting back together for one show. This one. And the rest of the line up is pretty awesome as well. I mean... Crowded House and Willie Nelson? Bjork and Jesus and Mary Chain? Rufus Wainright, Damien Rice, The Decemberists, Kaiser Cheifs, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, VNV Nation....
And bands with awesome names - The Fratellis and Evil Nine.
Note to self: Fly through Vegas and drive if you do this LA sucks and that way, no freaky windmills of death. Also, chances of you going to the event grounds before noon? Small. You can look at hotels some distance away because YOU'LL HAVE TIME TO DRIVE IN.
