Resolutions

David asked me today if I make resolutions.

And I don't, really, because I tend to forget them. They're not concrete enough for me to hold on to through the year.

I do need some things this year, though.

I need to refocus on me some. Recently I've been allowing myself to be pulled around by others and what I think they want.
I need to buy a few things - a new entertainment center, possibly a new television and an eliptical machine I can fold up and put somewhere else but also pull out in front of the TV.
I have a few e-mails I need to send out this week to some people I'd like to meet (or at least talk to more) now that I'm not mentally stuck in the holiday insanity that was work. (Though this week will probably be a bit crazy as well but the week after will be pretty chill.)

Anyway.. That's where my head is at today.

The week of the 15th-19th is optimal; I have a release (and my hearing and a little time off to recover) next week, and a release the week of the 22d. I'll better know tomorrow afternoon what other days this month would be good, if something in the 15th-19th doesn't work for you.

Excellent. I can probably narrow it down some tomorrow when I see what my meeting schedule is shaping up for this month.

I can also sneak out early some days for after work drinks, too, if you're ever interested. There have been more than a few days when that sort of thing has appealed to me.

So the 15th and the 18th would be the best that week. Also, oddly enough, the 4th this week I could probably do.

I have meetings till noon on the 15th, and till 10.30 on the 18th. What time do you normally have lunch? Want to try for 1230 or 1300 on the 15th?

The only place I can see out my window between out buildings is the sushi place under the IBM building, and I have no idea if it's any good.

We could just meet up somewhere in between (like behind the library) and wander around to find a place, if neither of us is in a hurry that day.

That works. We could go to McCormick's or whatever the place on 4th and Columbia is. Really good if we're not in a 30 minutes for lunch sort of place.
