Apparently my landlord deposited my check on, get this, the 7th.

So, for the past 11 days, it has just been sitting in limbo.

Waiting.

I have this feeling of impending car crash doom.

I will take care of this at lunch time but.... Still.... Impending car crash doom.

I HATE NOT HAVING MONEY BECAUSE I AM APPARENTLY STUPID.

Our bank has an option to cut a check and send it to the appropriate parties, while deducting it from our account. This saves us the pain of the limbo time, gives an accurate reflection of our account, and reduces the chances of overdrawing.

Maybe this solution would work for you too.

Rar! I hate when people + banks sit on checks. Landlords should be putting them in the bank the same day they get them.
