Totally. That song is a perfect fit. It makes me a little sad that it won't be in the movie. (Because then it would be FOUR of my favorite things all joined in a badass harmony.)
Seriously though, the plot of the Battle of Thermopylae is pretty simple; I don't really expect it to be a convoluted plot ^^;;
Didn't that show that recreated ancient battles w/ computers (looking very RTS-like XD) have one about this battle? Man, that show was really cool, I wonder if it still runs.
It wasn't LIKE an RTS, it WAS an RTS. All the animation was done with Rome: Total War
Though it covers a completly different Era, so it's not entirely fair to compare them, I much prefer "20th Century Battlefields", currently airing on the Military Channel. Much better feel for the terrain, and able to show accurate lines of fire, since it's all custom rendered animation.
It's weird that I like Miller much more on the big screen than on the comic page. I don't know what causes that effect. I liked Sin City much more on the screen than on the page, and just by the trailer I can already tell I like 300 more on the screen than on the page.
Come to think of it, it's not just Miller. I had the same feeling with V for Vendetta. Maybe I'm just a movie person more than a comic person.
Then again, on the other hand, I can come up with countless Spider-Man or X-Men stories I liked far more than any of the movies so far.
