Tony Stark will be played by Robert Downey, Jr..

So. This could be brilliant with two ifs. If the Downey who I've seen recently shows up and not the guy who was phoning it in while he was totally screwed up. The other if is, is we get the eventual pay off of multiple movies and we get to see Tony drown in a bottle and try to pull himself back out of it again.

Not as important as torture but I needed something lighter.

I'll agree that the "drunk Tony" would be amazing for RDJ to play. As for the clean Tony?? It COULD be good... it could also suck.

I haven't seen any of his newer work but I think he can pull this off with a sense of gravity that Tony should have.

That was kinda my response, too. I hope they go the addiction route with the story, though, or it'll be like *pffft*, why cast Downy. :)
