Anthony Bourdain in Beiruit
Jul. 28th, 2006 12:50 pmThis article is most certainly worth sitting through the little animated thingy on Salon. Anthony Bourdain has a great show on the Food Network and he always seems like a guy I'd like to hang out in a city with. He goes in and eats the local food without reservation and just generally seems to be someone who can connect with the pulse of a place quickly.
That's part of why this story about Beruit makes me want to cry. I'm... I'm frustrated with the world and situations like this.
In other news Hezbollah says that they aren't associated with and don't want help from Al'Queda.
Duh.

Date: 2006-07-28 08:55 pm (UTC)I feel awful for Israel, being pushed to defend itself like this. I feel sorry for the Lebanese, native and otherwise, for being in their path. I'm pissed off at Lebanon for supporting Hezbollah, and I with they'd help Israel grind them into the dirt.
