Or not.

My lungs hate me. Breathing hurts. I am here at work though. I felt good enough this morning that I couldn't stay home. Now that I'm here, though, I'm really pretty drained. Wheeeeeee.

I'm still trying to figure out what to say about the trip to Amsterdam. I liked it. I had a good time. I enjoyed the train ride from Paris to Amsterdam and back. I hate the cold I got. Queen's Day was something like Bumbershoot + the world's largest flea market. Women in Amsterdam have the best boots ever. I found a bath product place more addictive than Lush. I think that might have had something to do with the guy who was demonstrating everything. He was very nice and very helpful and just a really nice guy. Who remembered us when we came back, which is even cooler.

I was, however, by the end of it, done. I have resolved a few things not to do again and resolved a few things to do again. As it is, though, I think I like London better. I think I like Venice better too. Don't get me wrong, I love Amsterdam but I don't think it is the sort of vibe I'm looking for in a place. I wouldn't mind stopping in there on the way to other places but I don't think I'm looking to do an extended stay there again for awhile.

The fondue was excellent, though. As was pretty much all of the food. There are Argentinian steak houses everywhere, which was interesting. I learned that the exposure between the Dutch and the Japanese was much more than I had thought. Of course, I'd only seen it from the Japanese side and they'd tried to destroy all of the outside influence when they kicked everyone out. As a consequence, you get some excellent Japanese food in Amsterdam. I had excellent ramen. Yum.

Not sure what else I want to say right now.

I have about seven trillion e-mails to get to here at work. And stopping coughing would be nice.
