Wow. I'm glad that day is over.
Sep. 30th, 2005 12:43 amSo. Getting to work is okay. I'm later than I'd like to be. I magically lose 20 minutes somewhere.
I get to work. We're migrating to a new platform. Let me just say that it wasn't entirely QA'd well enough and vendors are mad at us for things. That's all I'm going to say. It... sucks.
Then I came home.
I came home and didn't want to cook anything, so... I called up a friend and we went out. The place we went to is... now closed. No more Olive Garden at Northgate.
So, on the way home, there was a back up on the highway (overturned semi as I would later find out) and so we decided to get off the highway early.
I'm sure you can all see this coming.
The guy in front of me slams on his breaks and comes to a complete stop in front of me. I miss him by... inches at most. The guy behind me, however.... is not so lucky.
Everyone in both cars is fine. There is damage to both cars but Tracer X got off relatively light. (This just comes on the heels of my realizing I didn't pay my car insurance on the 25th like I should have.)
And while we're dealing with the accident report and all, the officer looks at me and says, "Do me a favor and get your tabs renewed."
Me: ..... Wha?
So, we get all of this taken care of and Steve and I drive back to my place to take come consolation in X-men Legends II, which is quite awesome btw, and ... there is a dead bird outside my apartment. It looks like a dead crow. Maybe left there by a local stray.
Who did I anger? Who did I piss off? Please. Let. Me. Know.
Seriously. I want to know who I need to make scarifices to.
