Do you have any games on tape? Maybe that can help with the withdrawls.

Have I ever told you that your icon makes me laugh? Here in San Jose we get a HUGE Red Wings contingent when the Wings play here - the arena's almost half red! Anyway, they'll all get going with the "Let's Go Red Wings!" chant and in the clapping part, the Sharks fans all respond with "Red Wings Suck!"

It's HILARIOUS because it goes on and on and on - often with the fans of opposing teams sitting all together chanting it at one another, trying to out-noise-level the other team's fans. It must amuse the players - the organist doesn't even bother with music if a chant is going when play stops. Hee!

I've noticed that happens. It happens in Vancouver too, when I've gone for games up there. It's closer to a third of the place being in red but it is certainly a noticable amount of people. I've been screamed at for being a traitor. It's a fantastic amount of fun.

I saw that. It looks like they can't afford it anymore. Apparently the Penguins are for sale too. I don't think I could argue with more West Coast hockey though. We could support a team here...

Really. We could.

There is a brand new arena not too far north of here...

I can take the hating simply because I remember supporting them when they were the Dead Things. It's nice to be on top after so long.

Yeah, Seattle or Portland needs a team.

Portland wouldn't bring hockey closer!

An Oppertunnity

They are meeting in Toronto.
If I were the Candian Prime Minister here is what I would do, and yes it involves force.

I would declair a national emergency and then send in the army. I would lock those guys in a room and they weren't leaving until there is a written agreement to hold a season next year. And then I woud enforce, any breack of the agreement would be punishable under Candian contract law.

If I were head of the NHL I would also adopt the "no winter, no hockey" rule.

Nah. I like some of the teams that are in no winter areas. Some of them are pretty freaking good. I would, however, place some mandates on ice quality in these places.
