A weekend full of... weekend?
Jun. 13th, 2005 08:24 amFriday - Met LJ people and saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The LJ people were faboo. The movie was awesome.
I was expecting the movie to be sexy. I was expecting it to have explosions. I was not expecting it to be a laugh riot. Someone asked me if it was like True Lies and I said that yes, it was but it was more like taking True Lies and running it through a nice rinse of War of the Roses. And I found it interesting that they almost over did it with making her more competant than he was in some places but it balanced out well. The entire movie was a nice balancing act. And the chemistry between them? Wow. There were a few moments in that movie that made me want to just go out and buy it. Right then. Mmmmm.
Saturday - Mike's birthday party. I woke up feeling not so great. I drove down to Tacoma and started feeling even less great. This continued through most of the day. I discovered that two of the 12 hour Dimetapp was what was required to knock the cold on its ass. I also discovered that driving this way was rather interesting, especially when the sky would choose random moments to open up and dump buckets of rain on me. I was hyper focused on teh car in front of me and not much else. It was really strange.
Sunday - I should have slept more but I had more than enough trouble sleeping as it was. I drugged myself stupid and slept as much as I could. Then I layed on the couch and wished I could sleep and wished for chicken soup... Then I went out and got some soup and it was an adventure! Wheeee. Driving while sick!
I need to try to sleep more tonight if I can.
