Some days start out well....
Jun. 10th, 2005 08:40 amSo, there was this huge issue for our department that I noticed and pushed forward to get fixed. At first everyone was like, yeah sure, we'll get it fixed and I'm like.... Helllooo? Potentially millions of dollars of revenue sliding away here... and I'm saying things nothing like I normally say here, which get people to chuckle around me. (That they were surpsied by these comments show just how restrained I am at work.) These include things like, "If I don't get some movement on this soon, I'm going to get all stabby."
So, I push and I push on the people above me with important job titles to push and they come back with "Okay. We'll have in a fix by the 20th. How's that?"
My exact response was, "WHAT?!?!" which I am fairly certain could be heard on this entire side of the building. So, I kick some people and get my boss' boss to page some people and e-mail some people and we see some movement on it and they push an emergency fix through last night.
This morning my boss' boss' boss comes up to me and says, "You were brutal. You were awesome. You did me proud." and gave me a high five.

I can just see the gopher heads popping up all over the place as your "WHAT?!?!" resonates through the building. Yay, brutal!
