First of all, I must say if you have not seen Firefly - do so. If you haven't seen this show, find someone who owns it on DVD and watch it. Buy it, borrow it.... Just... It isn't for everyone and I understand that but please, go out and give it a chance.

And that... my friends... is because I just saw an amazing movie. And I want everyone else to at least have the chance to love this movie as much as I do. I want it to do well because I want more. I want more things to be explained.

I haven't been this moved by a movie since The Two Towers. And... yet... Well, you know that moment at the end when the cavalry comes and your heart is beating super fast because you know the good guys are going to make it?

You don't really get that in Serenity. There is a point where you know that the worst is over but.... There isn't really that sense of relief... because there is still badness out there as of yet untackled and unexplained.

I need to buy Firefly and I think it will be given out as presents between now and September. A lot.

And between now and then, I need to find a coat, I think.

Indeed.

If I wasn't before, I am now.

Owing to Joss' writing on B. (and, to a lesser degree, A.) ... and my appreciation for westerns as well as 'space opera' ... well, it was easy for me to watch it when it aired.

And I picked up the DVD set the day it released.

I'm not sure which has happened more: me watching the whole series, or loaning it out! *chuckle*

That seems to be the way of things.

It's a bumpy ride but damn is it s a good one.

OK, now I may need to watch Firefly and go see the movie.

I don't understand what you guys are going nuts over, but enough people I like think the movie's keen. :)

Amen!

The series is such a phenomenal work -- especially "Out of Gas" and "Ghosts". I can hardly wait for September.

I know that the show isn't something everyone will enjoy but the world that Joss has built is impressive and thought out. It's cowboys in space but it is so much more than that.

Of course not.

I sent all of my spoilers to a review site.

I don't want to give things away on this one.

I was pretty bummed about not getting [early] Serenity tix ... but that's okay.

*hand to temple* I'm sensing ... a one day flu ... due to hit our house-hold ... around Sept. 30th ... *snerk*

Who knows. There might be another go round of screenings. Joss is really trying to start a word of mouth wildfire with this one. His message to everyone seeing it early in the begining of the movie makes that obvious.

It's good.

It'll be even better when all of the music and effects are done.

Apparently, Sci Fi is going to start running episodes of Firefly on its Friday night line up, in the 7pm slot IIRC

Huh. Well, the Tivo does not show it. Maybe later this summer?

Here's the Announcement
