So.... Jitter time

I've found the place I want to move. Now I need to submit the credit form things and hand over some money.

I've been somewhat freaking out about it this whole time. Oddly, the thing I'm freaking out the most about is will all of my stuff fit. This seems, to me, like a stupid thing to freak out about but there it is. Yes, I know, I'm sort of flipping out about stupid things. I know this. It's...

There are a lot of reasons for me to be nervous about this move. For some reason I'm paranoid that I'm going to hate the place but I'll be in a 6 month lease and then it goes to month to month and so I can move again rather soon if I really end up hating it. I know part of me is ... well... The last time I moved it was just a few weeks before 9/11. I still didn't have a tv and no internet. I had a phone but... I was already afraid of living by myself, because I have fears of being alone.... and then... well... Yeah. It sort of sucked. I know the odds of it happening again are amazingly marginal but I'm still panicking a bit. It will be better when I actually start packing, start doing something.

Last time I moved out on my own things didn't go for the best and part of why I'm flipping out. I just need to remember that there will be people close by. Janice and Justin and Brian and Ian and Julz will all be relatively close. And Steve and Cody will be rather close as well, just a little further than I'd want to walk regularly.

So. The plan.

Tonight - Game. Drop off credit check form and money if possible.
Tomorrow - Pack
Wednesday - Pack
Thursday - Star Wars
Friday... Probably more packing. This will become a theme. Because there is always more stuff than you think there will be.

I am hiring movers this time, so... Well. I'm hoping I won't need too much help. If you want to come over and help me unpack, that would be sweet. I'm still not sure which weekend I'll be moving. I want to talk to roomies and figure some things out first but... I'm pretty sure it'll be Memorial Day weekend or the first weekend in June.

We used Careful Movers when we moved in February. The guys really busted their humps to. I was impressed.

Avoid Starving Students, I've heard they are a big time racket.

I talked to the movers that we used to move to the current house, on Friday. They said that for a move over the weekend, they have a minimum 3 hour charge, at $85/hr. They're apparently at 145th and Aurora, so right around the corner from us. He said for my move it'd fit w/in the three hours, so your move would surely fit as well. And every time I've used them, I've been impressed; NOTHING has been broken, not a thing, and they've moved every little thing.
