So... This is day one of Prevacid.

So far things are better but still not great. I'm not in so much pain but it is still there and there is still that ever so fun twisty feeling in my guts. Wheeeee. It's so much fun!

I'm feeling better but not awesome. That sums up everything these days, I think.

Then again, feeling awesome all of the time would be werid and give a bad basis for comparison to the rest of life.

Enough of the pain has gone away that I'm starting to realize that it was more than I thought it was, simply because of how many knots I can feel in my back. I wish I could find that lady who worked on my back at Con. Dear God, that was nice. Mmmmmmm.

Prevacid!!

They gave that to me for my (evil) cough once. Didn't do anything for me... but then, I wasn't having stomach problems.

(Same doctor eventually gave me Advair and that is the only thing that will stop the cough from doom)

I've always taken Zantac (ranitidine, whatever) for acid problems the last few years and it works great. I was on the verge of an ulcer for a while, but seem to have bounced back pretty well from it. I hope it helps you, though, I know how awful acid problems can be. It may take a few days/weeks for your stomach to heal for you to feel entirely better if it really is an acid/lining problem. But if you're feeling a little better already, that's certainly a good sign!
