Apparently my change of PCP didn't go through, but that doesn't matter as she doesn't have any appointments for the next week or so anyway. So, I'm calling my old PCP who is a good 30 minutes from here. They, however, are refering me to a walk-in clinic and apparently my insurance doesn't cover walk-in clinics. I'm so frustrated right now, I could cry. I don't know what to do. I just want to go to a doctor.

It's really lookling like an emergency room trip or nothing at this point.

Note to self: talk to HR when I get back to work and get crappy plan changed.

Thank you Prairie for trying to help me out.

As another note being really sick is a good way to get telemarkerters to leave me alone.

That damn Grim Reaper. Stealing my plans for a torturous death for the Kat.

Seriously, though, that's lame. I'd help out if I could, but I'm far away, and can't help. Sorry, Kat. Feel better, though, okay?

Did you see if my doctor has any openings?

As a professional in the health care industry, I will only say - you don't even want to know what goes on behind the scenes.

I will second that comment by Jason. I will alos note that most insurance will deal with emergency room visits much more kindly than other dren. They figure that if you went to an ER you didn't have time to get pre-authed.
