Okay. Stop the world...

Britney Spears.... made a cover... of .. My Perogative.

And... it isn't bad. I mean, it isn't much different than the original, which I like, but...

My head hurts.

It managed to get the Dune Buggy song out of my head, though.

Well, that's fair, I spoze.

After all, the Zappa's covered "Hit Me Baby" and it rocked far harder than what she did.

I have Scotty Doesn't Know running through my head. I haven't had a song stuck this hard since Mad World was on high rotation on the End.

If you see the video for that song you'll finally understand what she's trying to become:

Madonna.

An even SKANKIER version of Madonna.

YIKES.

little... Dune ... BUGGY... in the sand...

little blue DUNE BUGGY... in my hand...

we still need to find who was doing that ass cover of the Blondie song, at the theatre.

The person most thankful that Britney did a cover of that tune is Bobby Brown who has no money and desperately needs to song-writing money everytime the song is played or sung.

BTW, how long until Britney decides to go all the way and totally embrace her redneck roots?

I caught that, too. It sounds...okay.

The other one I caught was Marilyn Manson's cover of 'Personal Jesus.'

And it Doesn't. Sound. Any. Different.

:)

I don't like A Perfect Circle's cover of Imagine. He managed to make the song... more depressing. It was kind of hopeful but still sad. Now it's just sad.

Library Story:

I was working in the Olympia Public Library where one of my jobs was to pull books of the shelves that people had put holds on. One day I was looking for a biography on Brittany Spears, obviously put on hold by either a teenaged girl or middle-aged male, but it was gone. Figures, it would be on the top ten of things to steal. What I did find in the place where it would have been was a biography on Albert Speer Hitler's handsome Nazi architect, Riechmarshal, and member of the SS. I wondered for a second Hmmm, I wonder if they would notice.... Its close enough, right?

Let me throw this at you...

Korn covered Cameo's tune "Word up" for their Greatest Hits CD. I've actually heard it and it is...interesting...yes, that'll do nicely.
